J.H. "Jerry" Cohen began his real estate investment career in 1984. In the nearly quarter century since, he has been a principal in more than 1,000 transactions. Cohen is the creator of a proprietary econometric model that identifies undervalued and outperforming markets. He has also constructed and refined an investment approach designed to ensure that his investors capitalize on the opportunities his model identifies while uplifting target communities.
Cohen has identified and practices a set of property management disciplines uniquely structured to achieve maximum asset performance. He lives with his wife and daughter on the Gulf coast of Southwest Florida. |

Norman Parker leads EquityBuild's home renovation division. He has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Law from Jackson State University and served with distinction as a police officer in the City of Jackson. Parker moved from law enforcement to transportation, spending more than five years as an engineer with Union Pacific railroad before continuing education led him to discover the benefits that the real estate investment market can bring to his community.
Parker has a keen eye with a particular ability to recognize potential beauty in a home degraded by the elements or negligence. The satisfaction he receives seeing the faces of new tenants as they move into beautiful new homes, he says, fuels the persistence and professionalism needed to achieve the bottom line of a completely renovated product. Parker has been married to Thea Parker for 5 years and, as "a country boy at heart," enjoys hunting, fishing, and all the family traditions that support those he loves. |

English-born Tim Norris has degrees from Columbia University, NYC, and Nottingham Trent University, Nottinghamshire, England, in Estate Management (Real Estate Investment). He has been involved in real estate development since childhood as his father was a London developer.
Norris has lectured in the field of vinology and still occasionally teaches on a volunteer basis. He lives with his wife, a former private chef, and three children in Naples, Florida. For international investors, he is conversational in French, German and Spanish. |

Thea Parker graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Economics from Jackson State University before entering the field of banking and investments. With extensive experience at major firms such as Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan Chase, Parker brings her considerable skills to EquityBuild's financial division.
Parker says she enjoys watching movies with her husband Norman, reading motivational books and uplifting everyone around her. |
Teddy Ashley, Construction Manager |

Teddy Ashley heads up EquityBuild's construction division. After attending Mississippi College, he spent six years in the U.S. Marine Corps before starting his own successful construction business. With 15 years experience specializing in HVAC and remodeling, he brought a reputation for quality and professionalism to EquityBuild, Inc.
Ashley is married to Stephaney and has two children; John and Avanell. In his spare time, says Ashley, he likes to hunt, fish and coach his son John's baseball team. |
Sheryl Calish, Director of IT |

Sheryl Calish brings 20 years IT experience to EquityBuild, Inc. As a programmer and database specialist, she worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator in Stanford, California, and as an Oracle Developer. Besides participating in various Silicon Valley startups, she served as an officer with a number of Oracle Users Groups.
Calish has authored articles on the Linux operating system for the Oracle Technology Network and has taught college level courses at Miami Dade and Chabot College in Hayward, CA. Prior to joining EquityBuild, she ran her own IT consulting business. Her master's degree is from Florida International University in Miami, Florida and her bachelor's of science degree is from Simmons College in Boston, Mass. She lives with her husband and two children on Marco Island, Florida. |
